I use it 5 days a week, 8 hours a day and absolutely love it. With three knobs and 2 lights, the controls are simple yet refined. My wife and I really enjoy it and so I wanted one for my office.I found a very nice used Model One that was only a couple years old and in perfect shape. I bought this radio specifically for my office. Overall, this product is awesome and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. The ease of use on the Model One is great as well.
I often listen to talk radio and the voices come in crystal clear.
The FM reception is great and the tuer is very easy to dial in even the toughest stations to receive.
The only draw back that some other reviewers have mentioned is the low volume control.
I started with a Model Two w/ Model Subwoofer in my living room and have been extremely impressed with it.
They're very smooth.
The AM is ok but I haven't used it much for that so I don't know if it's better or worse than any other radio.The sound quality is where this unit really shines.
Even at extremely low volumes the clarity is wonderful.
It would be nice to be able to have more control over the low volume.
Also, being able to hook up an external MP3 player is a nice feature that works well.
Even the maple wood is first quality. Ok, so it's not a stereo radio, but the sound is rich and warm and the FM reception is better than on my high end Onkyo receiver. I love the infinitely adjustable tuning knob and the perfectly balanced design. Keep it simple and enjoy this little wonder. No buyer's remorse here.
I did not expect the quality of a high powered HI-FI system, but if you need more bass, then probably the extra woofer you can purchase would give you more response or range if needed. The on/off switch has a good snap to it and volume control has a good feel to it.
I was looking for a small compact table top or small bookshelf and this fits the bill perfectly. The pricing of this radio varies greatly so do a web search for the best pricing.
I purchased this Radio for myself. The main tuning knob is large and gives you a good stiff turn for fine tuning your stations in along with the cool modern LED tuning eye, a throw back from vintage radio's that had a vacuum tube eye for tuning in the stations.
The quality of this radio is excellent, good work on the wood casing and color scheme (White Maple wood and a green faceplate)the numbers on all the dials are easy to read. This radio should last many of years if properly taken care of.
The sound it produces is very nice for me that is. I do not find that it produces a cheap sound or "Tinny" like a cheap transistor radio would, over all sound quality very good, but as they say "its only my opinion, I could be wrong." Rate it 5 stars out of 5
We use this radio in our kitchen to listen to talk radio. I love the way the knobs and dials feel. It works awesome. Sound quality, clarity & reception are all excellent. Excellent Quality. I have not heard the same thing about other models of this same brand; only about the Model one.
It's heavy and sturdy. I'm very pleased with this very solid product. It looks simple and elegant and the sound is rich for such a compact radio. The controls are clear and easy to use -- especially the orange light which allows you to see the strength of a station as you are trying to tune it. Highly recommened.
